There's a difference between getting your makeup done and knowing how to do it yourself. Our everyday education sessions are less about rules and more about discovery — learning what suits you, building a routine that fits your life, and walking away with skills you'll actually use.
Whether you've never held a makeup brush or just want to finally figure out what actually works for your face, our education sessions are designed for real people with real lives — guided by artists who make it their job to make things feel simple, approachable, and genuinely fun.
Group Classes
Our group classes are a relaxed, hands-on experience where you'll learn alongside others in a small, intimate setting. Each class focuses on a specific skill or look — so you're never overwhelmed, and always walking away with something concrete.
What to expect: Each session is taught by a working Studio Standard Beauty artist, includes guided practice time, and is kept intentionally small so you get real attention — not just a demo from across the room.
Who they're for: Complete beginners, curious learners, DIY Brides, team building, or anyone who's ever watched a tutorial three times and still couldn't get it right. All skill levels welcome.
All sessions take place at our partner studio, Che Sguardo, in River North — a warm, professional space designed for hands-on learning.
One-on-One Lessons
If you want something more personal, a private lesson puts the entire session in service of you — your face, your questions, your goals. No group dynamic, no shared agenda. Just focused, unhurried time with an artist who's genuinely invested in helping you figure out what works.
Popular topics include: Everyday makeup routines, skincare-to-makeup prep, eye looks for your eye shape, color matching, contouring for your features, mastering a blowout at home, and more. Have something specific in mind? Bring it — we'll build the session around it.
